Abstract

Four cases are presented in which diabetics with necrobiosis lipoidica developed ketonuria without glycosuria following local treatment with triamcinolone acetonide. Although unexplained, this phenomenon suggests possibilities for further investigation which may lead to a better understanding of necrobiosis lipoidica and associated diseases.
