Abstract

This article was originally published in Italian in a journal not easily obtainable in English-speaking countries.1 Because of its unusual interest for dermatologists, the Editors agreed to have it translated for the Archives of Dermatology. Responsible for the English version—with minor changes from the original, and in collaboration with the author—is Dr. Guido Majno, Associate Professor of Pathology, Harvard Medical School, Boston.
