Abstract

A Negro woman complained of irreversibly tangled scalp hair. A hysterical personality and a substrate of kinky hair are important factors in this unusual occurrence. The problem could be remedied only by clipping the tangled sections of hair. The major differences between plica neuropathica and plica polonica are discussed.
