Abstract

A case of follicular papulopustular secondary syphilis is reported. The association with central nervous system (CNS) involvement is demonstrated and the histopathology is described. A perifollicular tuberculoid tissue reaction and intraepidermal abscess formation in the outer root sheath of the follicle were indentified in tissue sections. To our knowledge, this is the first histologic description of this type of lesion.
