The following is a commentary on Dr. Douglas Torre's review of Cryosurgery of Skin Cancer by Sterag A. Zacarian, MD (Springfield, Ill: Charles C Thomas Publishers, 1969). This review appeared in the August 1969 issue of the Archives (100:261, 1969).Several reviews thus far have endorsed and recommended by monograph and one, in particular, singled out that the basic chapters and the chapter on cancer cryosurgery of the skin could well serve as a text. I was, therefore, quite surprised to read Dr. Douglas Torre's review. He is, of course, entitled to his opinion, but in the interest of the medical audience, it should be pointed out that he has not only misinterpreted the subject but more seriously, rearranged my sentence structures and misquoted me out of context. Time and space does not allow an extensive rebuttal but to comment on a few germane remarks will
