To the Editor.—
Regarding the article on "Human Louse Infestation" by Sussman et al that appeared in the July 1969 Archives (100:82-83).Based on the information presented in the case reports, it would appear that both patients had pediculosis pubis. I believe it would be unusual to have scabies or pediculosis corporis limited to the pubic and/or groin area. In addition, the body louse is very rarely found on the skin as it comes to the body only to feed, maintaining its residence in the clothing. In both case reports, corporis is also incorrectly spelled.
