Abstract

A recurrent basal cell carcinoma occurred on the palm of a 55-year-old woman. The patient has the nevoid basal cell carcinoma syndrome and numerous hand and foot pits characteristic of this syndrome. Basal cell carcinoma of the palm is rare. We suggest the possibility that the carcinoma in this patient may have arisen from a pit.
