Abstract

Psoriasis Research Award for 1970.—  The $1,000 1970 Mr. and Mrs. J. N. Taub International Memorial Award for Psoriasis Research was presented to Dr. Otto Braun-Falco in recognition of the numerous, significant contributions which have been reported from his laboratory over the past 15 years. From his initial outstanding histochemical investigations reported in detail in the Annals of the New York Academy of Medicine in 1958; through dozens of papers related directly to psoriasis reported during the 1960s; and to his most recent contributions with Rassner on the metabolism of psoriasis, with Petzoldt on the enzyme histochemistry of psoriasis and with Christophers on the mitotic activity of psoriasis, he has shown an intense continuing and ingenious interest in the problems presented by this disease. His contributions were recognized in 1968 when he was invited to give the Dohi Memorial National Exchange Lecture at the 67th annual meeting of the Japanese
