Pilonidal Cyst of the Scalp

Abstract

Following trauma in a 5-year-old boy, recurrent inflammation in an area of posttraumatic alopecia on the occiput of the scalp occurred. Surgical intervention at age 13 uncovered a small collection of hair. Removal of this pilonidal cyst resulted in a cure.
