Abstract

Biting insects may cause severe allergic reactions. This paper is a correlation of these allergic reactions from various areas of the country.

The various insects covered in this survey are mosquitoes, black flies, kissing bugs, fleas, deerflies, and horseflies.

Hyposensitization was attempted to prevent reactions from future bites in some of these patients, and the results of hyposensitization are summarized.
