Abstract

To the Editor.—  I would like to acquaint the readers of the Archives with the aims of our society. We represent not "another" dermatological society, but the only international society of individual dermatologists. By no means are our interests restricted to tropical dermatology. We encourage, by direction of our constitution, the investigation of geographic ecology of skin and venereal disease and basic research. This means global dermatology and venereology. Our field of interest is growing and the ohavetunities for the exchange of ideas bave so expanded that our official publication, International Journal of Dermatology, which was a quarterly, has become a bimonthly journal (six issues); the effective date of the change was Jan 1, 1973.In addition to publishing a respected journal of quality, we sponsor world congresses. Our first was in 1962 at Naples and the second in 1969 in Kyoto, Japan. The third congress will take place
