Abstract

Two sisters with dermolytic bullous dermatosis (epidermolysis bullosa dystrophica) were treated with vitamin E in a controlled double-blind crossover study. Both showed marked reduction in blister formation while on the study drug as compared to the control medication. The mechanism of action of vitamin E in the mechanobullous diseases is unknown.
