Abstract

The patient had extensive cutaneous histoplasmosis. The autopsy disclosed disseminated histoplasmosis and adenocarcinoma of the stomach, with metastases. The findings suggest that lowered immunity due to widespread carcinoma may disseminate histoplasmosis. To our knowledge, the association of histoplasmosis and carcinoma of the stomach has not been reported previously.
