Fingerprint Arches in Alopecia Areata

Abstract

Incidences of fingerprint arches were determined in 91 female and 87 male patients with alopecia areata and in 109 female and 74 male controls. A statistically significant increased frequency of individuals with six or more arches was found among the females with alopecia areata.
