To the Editor.—
I read with interest the article entitled "Hypopigmentation with Punctate Keratosis of the Palms and Soles," by Maj Lonnie A. Cole, MC, USAF, that appeared in the July 1976 issue of the Archives (112:998-1000).In connection with that case report, I should like to advert to an article entitled "Hereditary Sclerosing Poikiloderma" by Weary PE et al, that appeared in the October 1969 issue of the Archives (100:413-422) and that described several patients bearing striking resemblance to those reported by Dr Cole.Although apparently differing in several respects, there seems to be sufficient clinical similarity between the patients comprising the two series to warrant critical comparison.
