Postgraduate courses in dermatology are held at regular intervals every three years at the Department of Dermatology, University of Munich, West Germany. During the years, this course has set standards in updated teaching of dermatology and its subspecialties; these proceedings have been published as a book. The eight postgraduate courses of one week's duration in July 1976 attracted more than 700 German-speaking dermatologists from this country, Scandinavia, Austria, Switzerland, England, East European countries, and as far as Japan and the United States. Within the same year, the proceedings were available as a book of 469 pages.
There are eight chapters that deal with the following topics: (1) dermatosis in childhood; (2) treatment modalities for basal cell carcinoma, squamous cell carcinoma, and keratoacanthoma; (3) diagnosis of allergies; (4) immune dermatoses; (5) a chapter that leads from symptoms to diagnosis (eyes, nails, pigment, tongue, hemorrhagic skin lesions); (6) acne; (7) therapeutic suggestions
