Abstract

• Neonatal purpura associated with dermal erythropoiesis has been reported as a manifestation of intrauterine viral infection. Herein we report a case of congenital purpura in which intradermal erythropoiesis is associated with hereditary spherocytosis in the absence of evidence for intrauterine viral disease.
