Abstract

In Reply.—  We thank Drs Wolff and Sandbank for sharing their intriguing observations on a possible association of pemphigus foliaceus and autoimmune thyroid disease. Our patient has been taking desiccated thyroid for many years. He is euthyroid when he is receiving medication. The physician who initially prescribed thyroid replacement is deceased, and available records unfortunately do not indicate the nature of the thyroid disorder. We hope to perform thyroid antibody determinations at a later time.
