Treatment of Eczema Herpeticum With Vidarabine

Abstract

• A patient with atopic dermatitis and severe progressive eczema herpeticum was treated with parenteral vidarabine. Within 12 hours after the initiation of therapy, new lesions had ceased to develop. A recurrent infection six months later was treated with vidarabine and responded similarly.
