To the Editor.—
This letter is written about a book to save my colleagues approximately $53. Dermatological Plastic Surgery (Clinical and Pathological) by Joseph Agris, DDS, MD, was ordered by my medical library; prepayment was demanded. The book consists of black and white photographs of mediocre quality of clinical entities and the corresponding histopathology. The notes are in rough outline form, ie, a superficial overview. In many cases there are no figures to illustrate the diagnostic entities. Some of the diagnoses are incorrect. The best photograph is that of the author himself near the preface of the manuscript. The title of the book is misleading because it relates to the practice of plastic surgery only in a most peripheral, borderline way. I write this to save my colleagues some time and money. Caveat emptor!
