Koticha's Recent Advances in Leprosy is a supplement to his previous volume, Leprosy—A Concise Text, published in 1990. The second volume is organized parallel to the previous edition, each having 11 sections and 34 chapters of identical titles and numerical sequences, covering both clinical and basic science aspects of leprosy.
The current volume is based on 582 English-language references selected for inclusion by the author, in a manner somewhat similar to some yearbooks, and includes material from 1990 to 1996. The 582 references are tabulated in 41 pages. In 10 randomly selected pages of references there are 135 citations. Of these 135, 81 are abstracts (in searching MEDLINE for the years 1990 through 1996, using the command "Leprosy*.EJ," 1912 English— language references are listed).
