We appreciate the sustained interest of Goldsmith in the pigmented lesion above the left eyebrow of FDR, he having been the very first physician, in 1979, to raise the possibility in a peer-reviewed medical journal of that lesion being melanoma.1 Our responses to his assertions follow:

1. Lomazow and I “strongly imply that Roosevelt (FDR) had a melanoma.”
