The eyes are surrounded by a sophisticated tissue system that provides support, protection, and the elaborate ability to express emotion. It is through these subtle, but essential, functions that we define the aesthetics of age, ethnicity, and even personal identity. Dr Tse and the contributors submit an integrated and visually orientated surgical atlas of oculoplastic surgery. The topics of anatomic, aesthetic, lacrimal, orbital, and periorbital surgery are offered in a refined and elaborately illustrated text with 517 figures. Care is taken to concisely present the fundamentals of oculoplastic surgery while also clearly reviewing the more advanced techniques of this broad surgical specialty. Individual chapter formats are varied in accordance to the complexity of pathophysiology as well as surgical interventions discussed. The atlas is not designed to replace a comprehensive text, but rather to guide the apprentice and intermediate surgeon in step-by-step fashion through various oculoplastic procedures.
