The JAMA Network looks to the future to continue its mission of education for all physicians around the globe. Our online journals, with multimedia content, rapid publication, and access from multiple devices, such as tablets and smartphones, facilitate new ways of communication. The power of the JAMA Network— JAMA and the Archives journals—can best be unleashed on the web. Our new web platform allows many new features and better integration across the network. With the tablet/smartphone app, anyone around the globe can access our content without charge for the remainder of this year. We are now pleased and proud to announce that approximately 90% of our content (most of our scientific articles) will be published online first. Each week, we will publish 1 or 2 manuscripts online ahead of print. For authors, this means more rapid publication of their manuscripts to a larger audience, and, for readers, it means more immediate access to the best science in facial plastic surgery. The logistics of publishing these manuscripts so rapidly and simultaneously maintaining the legendary JAMA Network editorial quality are complex and demanding of staff time. We are indebted to our editorial staff in Chicago, Illinois, for making this possible, especially Cheryl Iverson, Paula Glitman, Lauren Fischer, and each member of the manuscript editing, electronic production, and new media teams.
