Cephalic trim is commonly used in an effort to refine the nasal tip. One of the attendant risks of this procedure is alar retraction secondary to overresection. We describe a method to achieve nasal tip refinement while simultaneously reinforcing the lateral crura and thereby strengthening the alar cartilage and reducing its convexity.
