Doctor Face has a busy clinical practice with mounting pressures of clinical documentation, third-party payer issues, and managing a practice. She may also have teaching responsibilities, locally or nationally, and have desires to advance the science and clinical quality of her specialty. She needs a resource to keep her up to date with changing technologies and philosophies, provide her with succinct synopses that can keep pace with her busy life, be a point-of-care resource when needed, yet provide her the in-depth coverage of a topic when she has more time to study and reflect. This resource could also provide her with Continuing Medical Education (CME) credit, help her prepare for certifying or maintenance of certification examinations, and invite her to engage and ponder some of the challenging issues that face her specialty and the disciplines of medicine and surgery as a whole.
