The JAMA Facial Plastic Surgery mission statement, appearing on the masthead of every issue, reads as follows:

“JAMA Facial Plastic Surgery is a multispecialty journal whose key mission is to provide facial plastic surgeons the most accurate and innovative information available to enhance their patients’ quality of life. JAMA Facial Plastic Surgery will strive to

John S. Rhee, MD, MPH, when he assumed the position of Editor, appointed the International Advisory Board (IAB) to focus on the facial plastic surgery community outside North America. The IAB is building from strength, and JAMA Facial Plastic Surgery is already the official journal of the International Federation of Facial Plastic Surgery Societies (IFFPSS) and consistently publishes well-cited articles from around the globe.19 Manuscript submissions, as expected, are more frequent from countries with larger populations and/or strong training programs in facial plastic surgery such as the United Kingdom, Switzerland, China, Germany, Brazil, Italy, Korea, the Netherlands, and Turkey. The current IAB members represent leaders in the scientific community from North and South America, Asia, and Europe:
