Arch Facial Plast Surg. 2000;2(1):62. doi:

New medical devices are important to improve patient care in facial plastic surgery. The following breif articles clarify the policies of the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) from the perspectives of a medical officer of the FDA (Dr Jaffee) and 2 clinicians actively involved in the development of new devices (Drs Blitzer and Binder). Increased cooperation between the FDA and clinical physicians can only improve patient outcomes and safety.
