edited by Paul J. Carniol, 464 pp, $195, ISBN 0-471-31846-9, New York, NY, John Wiley & Sons Inc, 2000.

Dr Carniol's new book Facial Rejuvenation is written to showcase the evolution that the field of facial plastic surgery has undergone as we enter the new millennium.

The authors include prominent facial plastic, general plastic, and dermatologic surgeons from this country and abroad.

The book is composed of 24 chapters, which direct the reader toward unique and innovative surgical approaches that suit each individual patient's particular needs. The book begins with 4 chapters focused on surgical rejuvenation. The first chapter by Vita Quatela and Paul Sabini takes the reader through a "Deep-Plane Rhytidectomy." This chapter is followed by 2 well-written chapters: "The Posterior Cervical Rhytidectomy" by William Beeson and "A Graduated Approach to Neck and Facial Rejuvenation" by Richard Dolsky.
