To the Editor Stickrath et al1 should be praised for casting much needed light on the issue of attending rounds in the modern era. The study showed what is and what is not happening on rounds, and yet perhaps most telling is the dividing of activities into different domains. The 3 domains included “patient care activities, communication activities, and educational activities.” One is drawn to ask whether we should divide activities into different domains and whether that is necessary or healthy. Why should we divide—wouldn’t it be better to integrate?
