We appreciate the opportunity to respond to the thoughtful comments of Mancuso and colleagues concerning new data on the test characteristics of interferon gamma release assays (IGRAs) published after our cost-effectiveness analysis article1 was accepted for publication. Mancuso and colleagues express concern that the latest meta-analysis by Pai and colleagues2 reported a pooled sensitivity of 77% for the TST vs our pooled value of 67%; 78% for the QuantiFERON-TB Gold (QFT-G) (Cellestis Limited) vs our value of 83%; and 70% for the QFT-GIT vs our value of 76%.1,2
