In Reply I thank Cochran and colleagues for introducing me to their excellent population-based study of health of lesbian, gay, and bisexual adults1 along with the article comparing the mortality of same-sex to opposite sex married persons.2 It is very gratifying to see high-quality research performed on this understudied population.
