We would like to thank Dr Lesser for his interest in our article. However, we disagree with his contention that our meta-analysis does not appropriately measure the association between medication classes and falls. Dr Lesser contends that the use of propensity score calibration would not properly adjust for confounding by indication. However, as noted in the “Methods” and “Comment” sections of our meta-analysis,1 we did not incorporate propensity scores when estimating adjusted odd ratios (AORs). We completed a meta-analysis using data from published studies and as such we were restricted to the data available to us.
