Abstract

In the paper, "Cyanocobalamin Therapy Effect in Folic Acid Deficiency," by Ralph Zalusky, M.D., Victor Herbert, M.D., and William B. Castle, M.D., published in the May, 1962 (109:545) issue of the Archives of Internal Medicine, the designation "serum cyanocobalamin" was substituted for "serum Vitamin B12." The authors' reference was to a biological property rather than to a drug or chemical, and in this context the use of "serum vitamin B12" was correct.
