This new compact work of Meschan's includes discussions of the fundamentals of radiographic technique, protection from irradiation, normal physiological development, congenital abnormalities, and diseases of each section of the body in which radiologic study is of value.
Any physician interested in clinical practice will find that he can refer to this small text many times weekly. Each page is a "midget exhibit" with prose and a multitude of clear line drawings and reproductions of roentgenograms to illustrate one region of the body or one disease that may be recognized radiologically (the expression "clear" is emphasized because many radiologic texts contain hundreds of x-rays which are of little help). The authors describe and illustrate why a lesion or a developing bone should appear thus and so on the film, instead of trying to impress hundreds of "typical" roentgen appearances on the mind of the practitioner and student.
