This is the second edition of this atlas which is intended to represent an introduction to basic neuropathology. In many respects, it fulfills the definition of an atlas in which examples of pathological processes are demonstrated with a brief description of the process involved. This volume is not intended to be a definitive atlas but rather to be used as a companion to other text books of neuropathology currently available. In some 230 odd pages, 311 illustrations and figures are presented. This is a considerable expansion from the previous edition and, as in the previous edition, the quality of photographs and drawings is excellent. Pathological processes are well demonstrated and each diagram is labeled when necessary. The pathological area is indicated except when obvious, so that the neophyte has no difficulty using the volume. The judicious use of line drawings well labeled supplements the excellent photographic material.
