This book is based on a symposium held at the Royal College of Surgeons of England, October 4, 1963 and was published in 1965. The papers relating to the use of this drug in the reticuloses (lymphoma, leukemia, and myeloma) and other malignant tumors and to its use as an immunosuppressive agent are presented in these three principal categories. The discussions are brought together in a final section. The papers necessarily vary from brief report of the onecase-of-a-kind to more comprehensive surveys from the larger clinical institutions, but they do represent a broad base of clinical experience in Great Britain up to the time of this meeting. Many of the questions raised, ie, low continuous dosage vs high dosage, are still being debated. An extensive bibliography complements the experimental and clinical papers presented here and greatly enhance the value of the book as a reference. With cumulative clinical experience, this
