Dear Doctor Vaisrub:

At last, under the spur and scarcely frustrated course of convalescence, I have fabricated another "Zebulun."... my myocardium still remains unruly. I have now been home for a little more than two weeks after another small infarction. As you will note from the script, many of its passages were jotted down on small notes from the fastness of a hospital bed where my cerebral activity outstripped my physical capacity. I hope that the personal pronoun does not obtrude too much.

I hope also that the script may be acceptable. May I make the same declaration to you as I did to Bill Bean when I made my debut in the columns of the Archives. I have been working with editors and journals most of my life, and I hope have
