The authors have combined their talents with those of ten contributing experts in urology and radiology to compile an excellent radiographic atlas that will serve as a useful basic text of urologic radiology. With few exceptions the more than 2,300 reproductions of pertinent radiographs are superb. Common sources of error in interpretation such as normal variations, anomalies, and artifacts are well demonstrated. Descriptions of each radiograph are clear and complete; specific findings are indicated by an arrow system superimposed upon the radiograph. A number of illustrative diagrams are uniformly instructive. The written text is concise and is supported by an extensive, well-organized bibliography. The latter is useful not only because it is up to date, but it also includes references of lasting historical interest. The use of many newer methods of investigation, including angiography and isotopic scanning, are described and illustrated where appropriate.
