Abstract

This unique publication consists of an index to the Journal of Anatomy which covers the first hundred years (1866 to 1966) of this oldest surviving medical journal. Thumbing through the pages, one encounters the names of giants from distant and near past—the movers of medicine. Subject entries chronicle the changing aspect of medicine as sophistical techniques for exploring the microanatomy have evolved. It is an invitation to a trip through nostaligia, but the staggering price of a ticket will discourage most voyagers.
