This is the second edition of what must be the classic text on hypertensive cardiovascular disease. The interest of Sir George Pickering and his work is well known to all in the field of hypertension and cardiovascular disease. This book should be available in the libraries of all medical schools and hospitals where medical students, interns, and residents are in training, and in hospital libraries for nephrologists, cardiologists, internists, and general practitioners who deal with the problem of hypertensive cardiovascular disease. It will almost certainly be purchased by all physicians who have a specific interest in hypertension and who are dealing with clinical and research problems in this area.
