United States citizens are fouling their nest. We are producing more people than we can educate, house, transport, and nourish. We are supplying an abundance of material things to two-thirds of our people, but, in transforming our natural resources into electricity, gasoline engines, nuclear power, paper, beer cans, bottles, broken-down cars, rusting ships, polluted water, noxious gases, human feces, and other forms of garbage, we are destroying the environment which allows us to exist and which gives dignity and satisfaction to our living.
The problem of pollution exists everywhere and threatens alike the rich and the poor. Eventually, this threat to existence will cause the establishment to move. Steps will be taken to make appropriate changes for the use of natural resources, and the producers of cans, bottles, and effluents will have to include the price of disposal as a part of the production cost. Ways will be found
