This is a compact and well-illustrated text for criminal pathology. Each and every criminal act conceived by man against man, or man against himself is detailed and photographed so that the novice physician or those involved in a tangential relationship with law can benefit by quick reference.
The text is written against a background of British law and this will detract slightly from its value for the United States reader. The book's value as an English language text remains high; it represents the sixth edition by an exceptionally well qualified author.
I recommend it to the young physician or young lawyer suddenly thrust into this violent and sordid world. Forensic Medicine is a practical guide for both.
