Despite its small size and modest cost (paperback printed on paper of good quality), this offers surprisingly comprehensive coverage of the many problems associated with urinary tract infections. It deserves wide readership, because urinary tract infections constitute an important part of the practice of all internists, generalists, obstetricians, pediatricians, and, of course, urologists. In addition, such problems are important to general surgeons (particularly for postoperative periods), to neurologists, and to those physicians particularly interested in rehabilitation and the elderly. It is unlikely that any infectious disease specialist or urologist, once he has examined even one section of the book, will be content until he has this little volume in his working library.
Because of his immense experience in the field of urinary tract infections, Kunin can present his material in the form of a "how to" manual without discussing tediously the pros and cons of debatable points. What he has
