This book gingerly touches on various aspects of medicine, surgery, and gynecology—presumably those most often encountered in general office practice. Congestive failure is covered in about three pages, as are hypertension and contact dermatitis. Gonorrhea is allotted 2 pages, urology 17 pages. The material is so superficial it is difficult to decide for whom the book is intended. It has the "light touch," but in this sophisticated day and age, is it the "right touch"?
