Fibrosing Uremic Pleuritis Complicated by Thoracic Empyema

• To our knowledge, thoracic empyema associated with fibrosing uremic pleuritis has not been reported previously. The diagnostic approach and principles of management of this entity are discussed, as well as its relationship to cytomegalovirus.
