Abstract

This is a primer on the nuts and bolts of extracorporeal circulation fortified with photographs and clear line drawings of the actual hardware. The author leaves nothing to the imagination as he describes the procedures involved in setting up and trouble-shooting the sophisticated gadgetry. Veterinarian Stofer is a professional who brings experience derived from some 1,500 clinical cases and years of investigation in the animal laboratory into sharp focus in this monograph. Any detail that escapes in the text is caught in the question and answer filter in the last chapter.
