Some Gaps Cannot Be Bridged—Reply

Dr van der Smagt's letter raises general issues beyond the several specific points discussed.

First, the letter implies that there are disagreements among homeopaths because this is the only negative reaction from a homeopath to "Homeopathy Re-revisited."1 All the other messages I have received from members of this community have been enthusiastically positive. If other homeopaths also espouse van der Smagt's beliefs, these fundamentally different responses to my article would confirm the necessity for members of the profession to come to consensus through thoughtful research, as pointed out elsewhere.2
