Mistake in Table Footnotes in: Aquaporin-4 Autoantibodies in a Paraneoplastic Context

Arch Neurol. 2008;65(10):1394. doi:10.1001/archneur.65.10.1394

Mistake in Table Footnotes. In the article “Aquaporin-4 Autoantibodies in a Paraneoplastic Context,” published in the May issue of the Archives (2008;65[5]:629-632), nanomoles per liter (nmol/L) should have been used instead of picomoles per liter (pmol/L) in footnote a in both Table 1 and Table 2. The text in footnote a in Table 1 should read: “All 6 patients tested were confirmed positive for aquaporin-4–IgG by quantitative immunoprecipitation assay (patient 3, 671 nmol/L; patient 4, 57 nmol/L; patient 5, 1990 nmol/L; patient 6, 611 nmol/L; patient 7, 341 nmol/L; and patient 9, 31 nmol/L [normal < 5.0 nmol/L]).” The text in footnote a of Table 2 should read: “All 5 patients tested were confirmed positive for aquaporin-4–IgG by quantitative immunoprecipitation assay (patient 1, 40 nmol/L; patient 2, 20 nmol/L; patient 3, 15 nmol/L; patient 4, 26 nmol/L; and patient 7, 12.4 nmol/L [normal < 5.0 nmol/L]).”
