Core Topics in Neuroanesthesia and Neurointensive Care is a recommendable book that tackles a fascinatingly vast interdisciplinary field. The editors Basil F. Matta, David K. Menon, and Martin Smith managed to gather an impressive list of authors that reads like a selection of the who's who within both fields (ie, neuroanesthesia and neurointensive care) in the United Kingdom, some other European countries, and the United States. Together, these authors set out to write a comprehensive clinical text covering practical problems that physicians face when treating critically ill neurological patients. Reading the text with great interest, I found it very instructive and hard to put down.
